Ms. Nikki

Nichole Cahill: Owner and Lead Teacher for Pre-K 3

As the lead teacher in Pre-K Room 3 at Lakerun Learning Center, I’ve spent the past four years creating a classroom that feels like a second home for young learners. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) in preschool education and plan to continue my journey by earning an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.

I believe children learn best through hands-on, play-based experiences that inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and build confidence. Every day, I strive to make sure each child feels safe, supported, and proud of who they are.

One of the things I love most about teaching is watching children discover their own abilities—whether they’re learning to write their name, navigating new friendships, or expressing big emotions in healthy ways. It’s such a privilege to be part of those moments.

As a mom of four, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust with your child. I value open communication and strong relationships with families, and I’m committed to helping each child grow into a kind, confident, and curious learner.

Summer Nahogyil: Director and Lead Teacher for Pre-K 4

Teaching Pre-K is my passion, and I am thrilled to be the lead for Pre-K 4 and to contribute to our school through my role as director. I believe strongly in the importance of early childhood education, and that in building a strong foundation in the early years, we are forming life long learners.

I have been working with children for more than fifteen years, and hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my career, I have worked with all ages but the preschool age is my favorite! My teaching style combines aspects of the Reggio Emilia approach, Montessori, Universal Design for Learning, and others as I believe in tailoring our classroom and lessons to the individual students and helping them learn the best way for their unique minds. Above all, I believe in connection before direction and our classroom thrives on building a community with a focus on intrinsic motivation where we work together to be the best we can be.
